Project Description

The project concerns the conversion of an existing space into a short-term rental apartment (Airbnb), with a total gross floor area of 83 m², located within the historic area of Thessaloniki. The architectural study was developed from the outset as an investment project for short-term accommodation, in direct alignment with the client’s business plan, aiming to deliver a functional and efficient hospitality product that responds to market demands. The design took into account the specific characteristics of the existing structure, the requirements of the change of use, and the applicable planning and building regulations, with particular emphasis on clear spatial organization, the integration of the required MEP systems, and the overall architectural coherence of the solution. Special attention was given to ensuring technical consistency and quality of execution from the design stage through construction.

eNJOY architects’ contribution to the project included:

– Preparation of the architectural study for the change of use
– Selection of materials and design of built-in elements as an integral part of the architectural design
– Selection of materials, lighting fixtures, and furniture in relation to the functional and investment objectives of the project
– Coordination and collaboration with the MEP engineering consultant
– Preparation and coordination of the documentation for the issuance of the building permit
– Securing the required statutory approvals due to the location of the project within a designated historic area
– Construction supervision
